Dr. Patel, an Indiana native, received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Indiana University and then completed her Doctorate degree from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2004, graduating with high academic honors. She went on to complete a one-year Residency in Ocular Disease at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami in Florida. It is here she gained exceptional training in the treatment and management of diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, dry eyes, as well as cataracts. Dr. Patel settled in Texas in 2018 and loves traveling, biking, spending time with family, and raising her 3 children. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association and a Fellow of American Academy of Optometry.
